Project Procrastination...

Last summer while we were riding the golf cart at the river, I saw a chair sitting in someone's flowerbed and loved it. Granted it was completely overgrown with weeds, but I really saw potential. I decided I wanted to try it myself, so I went on the hunt for a chair. I scored big time at an antique store downtown. This one was not marked, so they sold it to me for $5. I have since gone back thinking I might get another one, but they are now marked at $40.
Score one for Mandi!
Next up was paint, I chose a lime green spray paint from Wal-mart. I wiped the dust off the chair and sprayed the paint on. I then aged it a little with some sandpaper. I absolutely love how bright it is. In case you were wondering on the color...
I already had these 2 pots and they fit perfectly. The only thing I bought other than the chair and paint, were a few flowers from Lowe's. I think this will look so great in a month or so when my sweet potato vine has matured and is growing all over the chair.

This is one of the many outdoor projects I have going on right now. I am also working on the front porch, the deck, and tiling a sink and counter on the back of the house. I am trying to get all of this done in the next 2 weeks as part of the Project Procrastination Party going on over at The Inspired Room. I don't have any "before" pictures as it is storming outside right now, but I will take some and post them with the afters as the projects are completed. So head on over and check out everyone's projects, and don't forget to come back on May 14th to see what all I have accomplished.

That is so stinkin' cute--now I'll be on the lookout for a chair of my own--a perfect project for those chairs that have a missing or damaged seat!

What a welcoming spot! If I walked or drove by your house, I would know that someone fun, creative and warm lived at that house. Can't wait to see all the projects that you've got going on girl!
